One of the coolest experiences I have had was Kruger National Park. With my daughter driving her small car with my wife and me we ventured into the park in late afternoon the evening before we were to go on a 12 hour escorted safari. After seeing very little, the animals seemed to appear out of nowhere. I remember very clearly trying to take as many photos as possible of the rare black rhino while my daughter kept warning me we had to move or be run over.
