My favorite waterfall is Big Manitou Falls in Pattison State Park, just south of Superior WI. I think it is one of the most underrated falls in the country. At 165 ft it is the highest waterfall in the midwest and one of the highest outside of the Pacific Northwest. The gorge is spectacular in all seasons but I will always remember a beautiful morning in May when the falls were running high and a soft mist drifted up from the bottom of the gorge. It is one of my alltime favorite moments and photos.
